1. Personal Life Planning
For 8th grade
Provides a forum for youth to understand their inner selves, surroundings. It helps them influence the direction of their life and community. Students learn the concept of voluntary work to install a sense of belonging, and gain self-esteem through contributing to their community.
2. Personal Economics
For 8th grade
Students assess personal skills and interests, explore career options, learn job-hunting skills, and discover the value of an education. Students learn about budgets, personal and family financial management, and the use and abuse of credit.
3. Enterprise in Action
For 9th grade
Students learn about the Palestinian economy. The course introduces the different types of private enterprises. It discusses the role of the private sector in society as the largest producer in the economy, and the social responsibility of enterprises. The course also defines the role of the public sector.
4. Success Skills
For 8th grade
Strengthens communication skills and the art of creating a positive impact on others, stresses the importance of team spirit.
5. Leadership
For 9th grade
This course teaches the importance of leadership and the benefits of developing leadership skills in one’s career and social life. It gives students a chance to become community leaders, through a leadership project supervised by their private sector consultant.
6. The Company
For 10th grade
Provides an economic and business laboratory where students learn the role of business by operating their own company and solving real business problem. They conduct market research, sell stock to raise capital, elect officers, buy materials, market a product, pay dividends to stockholders, and liquidate the company. This hands-on course is extremely beneficial to students, whether they continue their education or go straight into the job market.
7. Business Ethics
For 11th grade
This exciting 12-week course focuses on the basic concepts of ethical transactions in the business world. Thirty participants discuss case studies, as they play the role of employees in an industrial company that faces a number of ethical dilemmas. During the course participants from 13 companies around the world interact with each other, through a website and e-mail.
8. Master class
For students aging between 14-22
The entrepreneurship master class is a one/half-day inspirational workshop-for young people between the ages 14-22, it challenge students to think about starting their own business as a career, and becoming an entrepreneur. the master class build on the wider Key skills; the participants acquire social skills and experience of communications, team work, sales, marketing, finance, Problem solving , personal training through improving their performance and use self-assessment procedures to support the growth of quality businesses and quality jobs.
9. Job shadow day
For 10th 11th grades
Job Shadowing is an academically motivating educational activity dedicated to giving students an in-depth look at the professional world. Job Shadowing consists of a day or a half-day visit by student/s corporate. The student/s will have the opportunity to tour the site, “shadow” an employee for at least 4 hours and participate in workplace activities.
10. It’s my business
For English speaking 8th grade
It’s My Business Encompasses entrepreneurship curriculum for students in eight grades. The program emphasizes entrepreneurship while providing a strong focus on social studies, reading, and writing skills. Students are encouraged to use critical thinking to learn entrepreneurial skills that support positive attitudes as they explore and enhance their career aspirations.
11. Banks in action
For students ageing between 17-22
Banks in Action teaches high school students the principles of the banking industry.
Through hands-on classroom activities and local, regional, and national competitions, the program introduces students to the challenges of successfully operating a bank in a
Competitive environment. Banks in Action not only educates young people around the world about the banking industry, but also encourages them to become better citizens and smarter consumers.
12.JA Economics for Success
For students ageing between 15-17
explores personal finance and students’ education and career options based on their skills, interests, and values. It also demonstrates the economic benefits of staying in school. Six required, volunteer-led activities.
